I would be lying if I said I live in the here and now, cause i don't. I live my life based on tomorrow and the future that way I get everything out of my academic experience because I know it will help me in the future. If i lived in just today i would take tomorrow for granted and enjoy life but forget about academics and it's long term effect.  I find meaning in my core classes even if they don't tie in with my major now because I know it will fulfill its duties in the future. I chose to come to an 4 year university because I wanted an education to better myself in getting a start on my life learning journey. Because learning takes a whole entire life not just a day or a year.It will benefit me in the long run because i will have my education and a job but i will forever gain wisdom because i'll never be finished learning. I will challenge myself by always striving to better, not to compete with others, but to compete with myself.

Post 3

For the past week of me being here, the biggest highlight is the little moments me and peers have. For instance we had a belt fight. It may sound harsh but it was so fun, it was the fact that we could laugh and bond and not get mad. The low this week was having to find stuff to do after completing my work load early. The main thing sticking out to me about college is the grading system and usage of social programs such as blogger. In my Global Connection we are learning so much already. We have talked about Multiculturalism, Ethnocentrism, and how they impact America and other cultures. It was based around how we think our culture is better or how we try to conform others to American ways. Also how the standing question if American History is really American History. My English class has been focusing on literacy narratives and learning the correct way to edit papers. Also reading the syllables and learning do's and don'ts of the classroom. So far my learning is improving by challenging my organization and time management. I could improve my learning by asking more in class questions.

College is new
its responsibility,
like taking care of a pet

College is Fun,
your 21st birthday,
Football games,
Friday nights lights

College is growth,
Like an oak tree,
College is memories,
College is everlasting.

So far my college experience has been acceptable. The first 3 days of class have been fairly decent, the work keeps my interest so i'm able to work ahead. The classes are easier that i expect but i know they will get harder as time continues. In my English class we have already written our first essay and group participation in workshops. The overall experience was different than what i'm use too, the work shop went OK i just went we had spent more time on it, instead of going over time on the do's and dont's of editing. Im revising my paper by taking in my peers critic and suggestions into account when i re write my paper. While editing in when i use their changes, that they incorporated Another interesting part of the class are the reading assignments. I like the assignments because they provide insight and help with the next section in class that were focusing on. In the fall semester i expect so much more reading and i think in order to get everything i would have to divide my break time equally and when possible get ahead in some classes to make certain works loads lighter. So far i don't have any question just yet but i'b pretty sure down the road i will have plenty! :)

Hi everyone my name is Alexius and im a college freshman and it feels exciting, relieving, but also overwhelming.I am currently in a program called UTOP and im expecting to get so much out of it.Such as meeting new people and getting an head start on college education. I am currently taking 3 course in my english 1101 i am expecting to gain knowledge about writing while becoming a stronger writer. My strength in writing is my ideas and how i connect with what im writing about. i did a piece about my sisters car accident and my instructor was captivated by the amount of emotion that was in my paper. In writing i face many weaknesses but if i believe i can improve my writing and revising skills by asking for help and trying to do things on my on instead of using google and auto check all the time. I can make UTOP and this course more exciting for myself by hanging with utop members but at the same time studying with them. A way to make class fun. The most thing im excited about right now is meeting new people and growing more as a person. If i could make a list about all the good things in my life it would be little because the good stuff doesnt always have to be big. My family education religion and friends keep me going. On the flip side things that make me anxious would be meeting new people, the thought of not completing something on time, faliure, and public speaking. While at UNCC I plan to major in criminal justice. I've always wanted to be in the legal field since I was young, I've always wanted to make a difference and help clean up the mess our judicial system has become. So far during this experience the only constant questions that pop up in my mind is "What comes next?". Something not really unique but people always remember is my dimple but one thing people should remember me by is my work ethic and my excitement to learn new things from education to culture, im open.
