POST #4
I would be lying if I said I live in the here and now, cause i don't. I live my life based on tomorrow and the future that way I get everything out of my academic experience because I know it will help me in the future. If i lived in just today i would take tomorrow for granted and enjoy life but forget about academics and it's long term effect. I find meaning in my core classes even if they don't tie in with my major now because I know it will fulfill its duties in the future. I chose to come to an 4 year university because I wanted an education to better myself in getting a start on my life learning journey. Because learning takes a whole entire life not just a day or a year.It will benefit me in the long run because i will have my education and a job but i will forever gain wisdom because i'll never be finished learning. I will challenge myself by always striving to better, not to compete with others, but to compete with myself.

I understand where you are coming from when you say that you live in the tomorrow and future. I feel ike i live in all four, the here, now, tomorrow, and future because i am conscious of everything i do and how it affects me currently and in the future. I agree with you that learning takes a entire life time not just a day or a year. I barly remember what i learned last year smh! i like you last statement about not trying to compete with others but yourself because you cant always judge what you can do by comapring yourself to other people. I still have a problemt with that today!. I try to focus on myself but when I see that someone got a better grade than me i get sad and want to work harder even though I have given my all and worked twice as hard but still didnt get a good grade. I ve learned that maybe im not as smart as i thought i was and ill just have to work even harer even though i work soo hard maybe too hard
ReplyDeleteIt is so weird how we view life the same I believe that we should look ahead to the future as well. I think if you look ahead and have big dreams for the future. You will eventually become those dreams and goal that you have set ahead for you self. I understand that you think that taking classes that you will not need in your profession will make you a well-rounded person. Sometimes I can understand why we need social studies class because I am not a history major but it will make me a well-rounded person. I like that you are striving to be the best that you can be because the end result is success.
